Appointments and when to reach us
Consular services are provided Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 16:30. To avoid waiting times — and because some services require preparation on our side — we recommend contacting the Consular Section by email or phone before visiting, so we can confirm requirements and, where needed, agree an appointment.
For passport applications, registrations and notarial services, please write to the Consular Section with a short description of your request. We will respond with the documents to bring and a suggested time for your visit.
Telephone lines are typically busiest in the morning; email is the most reliable way to reach us and lets us prepare your case before you arrive.
How to Find Us
The Embassy is located at Via Ennio Quirino Visconti 8 (Piano 6), in the Prati district of central Rome, close to the Lepanto and Ottaviano metro stations and within easy reach of the Vatican area.

For genuine emergencies involving Zambian citizens in Italy outside normal working hours — such as accidents, arrests or other critical incidents — an emergency contact number may be made available. Please use it strictly for genuine emergencies.
